Accounting in Biznsbook: An Overview

Biznsbook's Accounting module is the financial backbone of your ERP — a chart of accounts, payment vouchers, automatic journal entries from your day-to-day sales and purchases, and the reports you rely on to run the business. An optional add-on, Finance Management, builds on top of it with fiscal years, bank reconciliation, bank statement import, and a fixed-asset register.

What each module covers

ModuleWhat it adds
AccountingChart of accounts, ledgers, financial statements, payment and journal vouchers, voucher search, recurring transactions, party ledgers and aging
Finance Management (add-on, requires Accounting)Fiscal years, period close tools, bank reconciliation, bank statement import (OCR), fixed assets

Most companies start with just Accounting and add Finance Management once they need bank reconciliation or a fixed-asset register.

What you can do

  • Maintain your chart of accounts — the categories every transaction is recorded against
  • Record payment vouchers for cash, cheque, and manual journal entries
  • Let day-to-day documents (sales, purchases, receiving stock) post to your books automatically
  • Run financial statements: trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow
  • Track what customers owe you and what you owe suppliers
  • Close accounting periods and, with Finance Management, run a formal year-end close
  • Reconcile your bank statements and track fixed assets, with Finance Management
