Run Financial Reports
Every report below pulls from the same ledger, so they always agree with each other. Find them under Finance & Accounting → Financial Reporting.
The reports
| Report | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Trial balance | Whether your total debits equal your total credits |
| General ledger | What moved through each account, with drill-down |
| Profit and loss | Whether you made a profit or a loss over a period |
| Balance sheet | What you own, owe, and are worth at a point in time |
| Cash book | Cash account movements |
| Cash flow statement | How your cash position changed |
| Notes to the accounts | Supporting detail behind the statements |
| COGS accuracy / gross margin | Inventory costing versus sales (needs Inventory enabled) |
Using them
- Pick a report and set your date range.
- Export it, if the screen offers that option.
- For the trial balance specifically, debits and credits should match to within a fraction of a cent. If they don't, check for unposted drafts or one-sided entries using the journal entry viewer.
