Set Up AI Providers

An administrator must configure at least one AI provider before anyone can generate content.

Add a provider

1. Go to AI Content → AI Providers.
2. Add a provider: Gemini, OpenAI, or Claude.
3. Paste the API key and use Validate key.
4. Optionally set a monthly token budget (alerts can fire near 80% and 90% when Automation and budget jobs are enabled).
5. Mark one configuration as default.
6. Open Prompt Templates and confirm a default template exists (seeded on first use). Create or edit templates if your brand voice needs different instructions.

:::warning Keep keys private API keys are stored encrypted. They are not shown again after save in the same way as a password field — treat provider credentials like other company secrets. :::

Usage and budgets

AI Content → Usage Dashboard shows:

• Current month token summary and estimated cost
• Twelve-month history
• Per-user breakdown

Raise the monthly budget on the provider if generation stops because the cap was reached.
