Receive and Monitor Fabric
Receive a fabric roll
- Go to Clothing → Receive Fabric.
- Select a fabric inventory item — one set up with a fabric unit of measure — and the receiving warehouse.
- Enter the roll number and received meters, plus optional barcode, cost, and supplier.
- Save. Stock updates through the ordinary inventory ledger, tagged with the roll reference.
Monitor fabric stock
- Go to Clothing → Fabric Stock.
- Filter by item, warehouse, and status.
- Watch remaining meters per roll — a roll with under about 0.1 m left shows as exhausted.
- Rely on the low-stock roll alert (5 m by default) to flag rolls worth replenishing.
Where the meters go
Fabric leaves a roll two ways:
- Consumed on a stitching order — see Create a stitching order.
- Sold as a meter cut — through POS or Sales, when either is enabled — see Sell clothing and fabric.
