Before You Start with CRM

CRM appears in the main menu once the module is licensed. What you can see and change still depends on the CRM role assigned to your user under Settings → Users & roles.

Roles, in plain language

RoleTypical use
Sales repOwn records; create and edit; no delete or export
Sales managerTeam visibility; reassign; delete; export team data
Sales adminFull company access; pipelines and all CRM settings
FinanceRead CRM data; work with deal commissions
Read-onlyView CRM data without making changes

CRM → Settings is limited to sales admins. Other roles who open it are sent back to the CRM dashboard.

Screens reached from elsewhere

A few useful screens are not top-level menu items. Bookmark them or follow links from related records:

  • Email sequences — from sequence views or Settings
  • Sales performance / targets — manager tools set by administrators
  • Deal commissions — pipeline footer or Settings → Commission rules
  • Customer onboarding — linked from an account's detail page
