Log Activities and Tasks

Activities are what already happened — a call, meeting, email, or note. Tasks are what still needs to happen — with an owner and a due date. Both keep the timeline complete for anyone who picks up the record later.

Log an activity

  1. Open a lead, contact, account, or deal.
  2. From the timeline or activity section, add a new activity.
  3. Choose the type (call, meeting, email, note, and so on) and set importance if your process uses it.
  4. Write a short summary of what was discussed or decided.
  5. Save — the activity appears on that record and in CRM → Activities.

You can also start from CRM → Activities, then filter by type, date, or owner to review the team's recent work.

Create and complete tasks

  1. Go to CRM → Tasks, or add a task from a record's detail page.
  2. Set a clear title, owner, and due date.
  3. Link the task to the related lead, contact, account, or deal when prompted.
  4. Mark the task complete when the work is done.

Overdue and due-soon tasks surface on the CRM Dashboard so managers and reps can clear the backlog quickly.

Reminders and recurring work

Biznsbook can send task reminders and support recurring tasks when those options are enabled for your company. You don't run a separate reminder screen — keep due dates accurate and the system follows up in the background.
