Manage Deals and the Pipeline

A deal is a sales opportunity with a value, owner, and stage in a pipeline. You can edit stages on the deal itself or drag cards on the Pipeline Board.

Create a deal

  1. Go to CRM → Deals and create a new deal — or create one while converting a lead.
  2. Enter the deal name, amount, expected close date, and pipeline.
  3. Link the related account and contact when you have them.
  4. Assign an owner and save.

Move stages on the Pipeline Board

  1. Open CRM → Pipeline Board.
  2. Pick the pipeline you want to view if more than one exists.
  3. Drag a deal card to the next stage column as the opportunity progresses.
  4. Open the card when you need full detail, competitors, or close actions.

Stages and pipelines are set by a sales admin under CRM Settings.

Track competitors

  1. Maintain competitors under CRM → Competitors.
  2. On a deal, associate the competitors you are selling against.
  3. Use that context later in win/loss review and reporting.

Close won or lost

  1. Open the deal detail page.
  2. Choose Close won or Close lost.
  3. For a loss, pick a lost reason from the list your admin configured.
  4. When winning, optionally tick Generate invoice in Accounting if Accounting is licensed and set up — Biznsbook can create a sale invoice from the closed deal.
  5. Confirm. Won and lost deals leave the open pipeline views and feed win/loss reports.
