Run Toast Daily Import
Daily import keeps kitchen inventory aligned with what Toast sold and wasted. Prefer it once product and location mappings are verified.
Suggested daily rhythm
- Check inventory health and expiry batches that need action.
- Run Toast Integration → Daily import for yesterday's Product Mix.
- Optionally attach Item Details for async variance review.
- Open Import History for warnings, short-stock skips, or variance approvals.
- Run Reconciliation weekly.
Run Daily import
- Go to Toast Integration → Daily import.
- Upload the Toast Product Mix CSV (up to 20 MB).
- Confirm Qty sold and Waste count columns are present in the export.
- Execute — Biznsbook deducts sold and waste using FEFO/FIFO for expiry-tracked items.
- Optionally include Item Details for variance compare/approve; results appear under Import History → Variance.
You can also use Import Sales for Product Mix alone, or Import Items for catalog and opening stock (new items only for quantity).
Import History and reversal
- Open Toast Integration → Import History.
- Filter by Items, Sales, or Variance runs.
- To undo a completed sales import, use Reverse — stock is restored for that run.
:::warning Check mappings first Unmapped Toast items are skipped and may show a sidebar badge. Fix product mappings before relying on daily numbers. :::
Variant stock reminder
When a Toast variant (pack / ALTERNATE) sells, stock deducts from the master item using the mapping conversion factor:
(Variant qty sold + Waste count) × Conversion factor
Waste posts as Toast waste on the stock ledger. Set factors on Product mappings.
