Adjust and Reconcile Stock

Stock adjustments

Inventory Operations → Stock Adjustments corrects quantity after a physical count, damage, or a data-entry fix.

  1. Open the list and use Filters — status, reason, date — to find what you're looking for.
  2. Create an adjustment with a warehouse, a reason, and lines for each product and its physical quantity or +/- change.
  3. Quantities support up to four decimal places. If your company doesn't allow negative stock, the form blocks a decrease that would take on-hand below zero. Counting in a purchase unit converts to the item's base unit automatically.
  4. Save as draft if it needs review, or submit for approval if your company uses that workflow.
  5. An approver approves or rejects it — approved adjustments update stock and, where relevant, post accounting entries.

Quick Adjust, available from the stock card, auto-approves and updates inventory immediately for roles that are permitted to use it. Physical Count only submits the lines that actually show a variance.

Cycle counts

Inventory Tracking → Cycle Counts lets you run partial counts without stopping operations.

  1. Generate due sheets, usually on an ABC schedule.
  2. Print or share the sheets with counters.
  3. Enter the counted quantities for each line.
  4. Review variances against system stock.
  5. Complete the sheet — this creates draft stock adjustments for any variances and marks the sheet done in one step.

Stock reconciliation

Inventory Operations → Stock reconciliation compares system quantities against what you'd expect and highlights drift, so you can investigate before it shows up as a surprise at count time.
