Record Production Entries

A production entry is the official record of what the floor actually made — not just the work order's status.

Record a production entry

  1. Go to Manufacturing → Production Entries → Create.
  2. Select the work order and the date.
  3. Enter the quantities: produced, rejected, rework, and scrap. Biznsbook works out the good quantity from these.
  4. Complete the entry once output is confirmed. Finished goods stock increases at the target warehouse.

If both the finished item and the raw materials it consumed are batch-tracked, completing the entry also records the lot genealogy link automatically, and — if the linked inspection is approved — fires a quality pass or fail event your automation rules can react to.

:::info Prefer real-time capture at the machine? Use the Shop Floor Terminal instead — it creates and completes a production entry for you as operators tap through a shift. :::
