Use the Shop Floor Terminal
The Shop Floor Terminal is a large-button screen built for logging output right at the machine, in real time — no separate app to install, just a browser.
Open a session
- Go to Manufacturing → Shop Floor Terminal.
- Pick a Released or In Progress work order, optionally a workstation and an operator, then Open Session.
- You'll land on the session screen, showing the work order, item, and running totals starting at zero.
Log output
- Set Quantity per tap — it defaults to 1, but raise it if you're logging in batches, like 25 units per scan.
- Tap GOOD, REJECT, REWORK, or SCRAP each time you complete that quantity. Totals and remaining planned quantity update immediately, and every tap appears in the Recent Entries list.
- Keep tapping as production continues — a session can stay open across an entire shift.
Complete or abandon a session
- Complete Session — sums everything logged into a single production entry and completes it through the normal path, increasing finished stock and updating the work order's produced quantity. A session with nothing logged can't be completed.
- Abandon — closes the session without creating a production entry. You'll need to give a reason, like "wrong work order selected." Use this instead of leaving a stale session open.
Supervisors can see every currently open session from the terminal's landing page and jump back into any of them.
