Before You Start with Payroll

Payroll appears in the top navigation once the module is licensed and HR Management is active. What you can open and change still depends on the payroll permissions your administrator assigns under Settings → Users & roles.

What you need in place

Accounting (recommended)GL posting for accrual and bank payment
Active employees with a current salaryEmployees without salary are listed as exclusions
  1. HRMS — departments, designations, and employees
  2. Payroll — components → structures → employee salaries
  3. HRMS — daily attendance and leave policies (for deductions and overtime)
  4. Payroll — settings (including tax if needed) → periods → runs

You can also assign salary from Employees → Details.
