Manage Utilities and Common Areas
Occupied units often need metered utilities and shared facilities. Real Estate tracks connections, charges, and common areas in three related places.
Utility connections
Open Real Estate → Compliance → Utility connections.
- Register meters per unit.
- Track connection status as services go live or close.
- Receive or refund utility deposits when your process requires it.
Utility charges
Open Real Estate → Bookings → Utility Charges.
- Set rates for the project where needed.
- Record meter readings.
- Generate charges from readings and rates.
- Record payments against those charges.
Charges for occupied stock sit under Bookings so collections staff can find them next to installment tools.
Common areas
Common areas are not a top sidebar item.
- Open REMS overview (or a project’s details).
- Choose Common Areas.
- Maintain shared facilities — parking slots, storage, gym lockers, and similar.
- Allocate facilities to units as inventory is assigned.
:::tip Start from Unit Availability When a unit is vacant or under maintenance, use the floor layout click actions to open maintenance or mark available, then return here to reassign parking or storage. :::
