Review Restaurant Dashboards

The operations dashboard

Restaurant → Dashboard is your day-to-day cockpit — KPI cards, a trend chart, and recent-activity tables, all read live from your actual data (COGS snapshots, price alerts, depletions, recipes):

  • Today's Food Cost % as a progress bar — green at/under target, amber to 35%, red above.
  • Top Variance (7 days), Unread Price Alerts, Depletion Health, Recipe Setup health, Today's Waste Cost, Par Level Shortages.
  • Menu Engineering — Dogs, once the report has run for the current month and finds at least one.
  • Kitchen Display tiles — active tickets, oldest ticket age, tickets bumped today — when KDS is on.
  • Below the cards: a 14-day theoretical food cost chart, recent price alerts, recent failed depletions with one-click Reprocess, and a waste-by-reason donut.

A banner links to the full Performance dashboard, and — when Labour Scheduling is licensed — a callout links to Scheduling Analytics for staffing and labour cost per cover.

The Performance dashboard

Restaurant → Performance is the executive view — one page aggregating food cost, waste, channels, kitchen, menu engineering, guests, and supply health over a date range.

  1. Pick a preset (Today / Last 7 days / Last 30 days / This month / Last month) or a custom range, then Apply.
  2. Each section card links to its detail screen. Export Excel downloads one workbook with a tab per health area.

Empty sections show a friendly "Not enough data yet" state with a setup link — the page never breaks for a brand-new restaurant.

Scheduled digests

Turn on Weekly and/or Monthly digest in Settings and the same Performance numbers land by email — Monday 07:00 UTC for weekly, the 1st at 07:00 UTC for monthly — with a "check before next week" block only when something genuinely needs attention. Send test digest proves delivery immediately, using the weekly format, without touching the schedule or "last sent" state.

:::info Numbers always match Digests are built from the same aggregation as the Performance dashboard for the same date range — they can never drift apart from what you see on screen. :::
