Before You Start with Traceability

Traceability menus appear when the matching module is licensed. What you can open still depends on permissions under Settings → Users & roles. Company Admins get the seeded permissions automatically.

Compliance hub

When Packaging, EPR, FSMA, or SFCR are also licensed together, open Management → Compliance & Sustainability for a single landing page, or use the Related compliance strip on a Trace Report to jump between sibling modules.

  1. Confirm licensing and permissions.
  2. Complete FDA one-time setup and/or SFCR setup.
  3. Receive, transfer, and sell as usual so CTEs accumulate.
  4. Practice a Trace Report and an ESS export before you need them under a deadline.

:::tip Batch tracking first Covered items need batch numbers on receipt. Set that on the item before your first FTL or SFCR GRN — see Track expiry, batches, and recalls. :::
