Use the Warehouse Map and Analytics

For sites that use the layout editor, the visual warehouse map shows zones, racks, and shelves as an actual floor plan instead of a list.

Open the map

  1. Go to Inventory Tracking → Visual warehouse map, or use the Map action on a row under Warehouses.
  2. Pick a warehouse if prompted.
  3. Browse the zones, racks, and shelves visually.

Editing the layout

With edit map permission, you can add nodes and set their capacity or temperature flags by hand, or run the default or custom layout wizard to generate zones and storage locations in bulk in one step.

Moving stock on the map

With transfer on map permission, you can move stock between nodes within the same warehouse — this is different from a stock transfer document, which moves stock between warehouses. See Transfer stock between warehouses for that workflow.

Map permissions are separate from everyday inventory access:

Warehouse analytics

Open Inventory Tracking → Warehouse analytics for map-aware KPIs on the selected warehouse — overloaded or underused areas, movement frequency, dead-stock indicators, and efficiency. This is especially useful right after a round of transfers or a re-slotting effort.
