Warehouse Management: An Overview

Warehouse Management extends Inventory with multi-site control: knowing exactly how much stock sits in each location, moving goods between sites with a proper in-transit trail, structuring bins and zones, and seeing capacity before an aisle overflows.

Inventory still owns products, GRNs, and sales — Warehouse Management adds where stock physically sits.

What you can do

  • Run more than one storage site — a branch, a depot, a shop back room, a cold store
  • See exactly how much stock is in each warehouse, and what's reserved versus available
  • Move stock between warehouses with approve, ship, partial receive, and cancel steps — never a silent quantity edit
  • Define aisle / shelf / bin addresses, with optional barcodes and capacity limits
  • Use a visual warehouse map for zones and racks
  • Monitor how full locations are getting, and review a combined movement history
